【摘要】 2015年,中国科幻作家刘慈欣的长篇科幻小说作品《三体》三部曲第一部的英译本TheThree-Body Problem获得“雨果奖”最佳长篇小说奖,这是中国科幻作品第一次斩获国际大奖,引起了学界的广泛关注。《三体》三部曲的英译本在世界范围内广受好评,甚至被读者选为最受欢迎作品。作为中国的科幻主义小说,《三体》第一部英译本在世界范围内得到了史无前例的关注。本论文的主要研究对象是刘宇昆和周华两位译者的英译本,研究目的为从性别视角探究两位译者使用何种翻译策略调整原文中的性别相关内容,从而增强译文在西方世界的可读性和读者可接受性,以及译者采用种种翻译策略是否体现了女性主义色彩,是否发挥了译者的主体性。其中翻译策略包括去性别化、劫持和添加注释等,本文根据翻译策略分类,对原文和译文进行对比研究。通过对原文和译文的对比分析,笔者发现了在翻译过程中体现的性别意识和女性主义理论认同,译者的翻译策略提升了译本中女性角色的形象,译者的社会影响力也受到了翻译活动的积极影响。笔者希望相关研究成果可以通过性别视角,解释《三体》三部曲走红的原因,为中国科幻主义作品“走出去”在世界范围内获得更广泛的认可提供借鉴,同时也可为其他类型的中国文学作品英译提供参考。更多还原

【Abstract】 In 2015,the Chinese science fiction writer Liu Cixin won the Hugo Award for Best Novel with the English version of his long-form novel The Three-Body Problem.This was the first time that a Chinese science fiction work had received this honor.Winning an international award has aroused widespread interest in the study of the translation of The Three-Body Problem.The English version of the trilogy has been acclaimed worldwide and even elected as a best-selling one.This paper conducts a concrete analysis of the translators Ken Liu and Joel Martinsen,with the focus of how they use appropriate translation strategies to adjust the sex-related language in the original text from the feminist prospective,thereby enhancing the readability and acceptability in the western world.Through analysis,the author aims to find out whether the translators’ adoption of various translation strategies embody their gender consciousness and subjectivity.The translation strategies include de-gendering,hijacking,and supplementation etc.This article classifies translated excerpts according to translation strategies used and compares the original text with the translation.Through comparative analysis on the original text and the translations,this paper finds out that gender consciousness and translator’s subjectivity are embodied,thus impro-ving women’s image as well as their social status in the translated version.Translators’ popularity has also improved through the translation activity.It is hoped that the research results could explain the work’s popularity from the perspective of sexist language translation and provide a reference for Chinese science fictions to go global and gain recognition in the world.Moreover,other types of Chinese literary works could also take this paper as a reference.更多还原
