新加坡华语教育历史之殇与儒学认同

【摘要】 作为一个多元种族、多元文化、多元语言极具代表性的国家,为改变日趋边缘化、荒芜化的华语生存现状,新加坡政府曾从语言平衡的核心政策出发,进行了多次重大改革,但并未扭转华语推广的颓势,反而因为单方面强调华语的经济价值和商业地位,强调华语的交际性、功利性、工具性而加重了文化猜忌。鉴于儒学思想在新加坡有一定的传播基础,从儒学入手,重新审度和定位新加坡的华语教育政策,摒弃"经济压人"的策略,强调"文化动人",倡导"雅化"华语,将有利于寻找新的语言生态平衡点,使儒学与华语完美结合,从而走出有新加坡特色的华语教育之路。

【Abstract】 As a typical multi-racial,multi-cultural and multi-lingual country,Singapore has in the process of globalization conducted a number of major reforms to address the increasing marginalization and barrenness in the survival of Chinese language,which fails to reverse the decline in its promotion.Singapore Government also adopts the core policy of language balance and unilaterally stresses the economic value,commercial position,and the communicative and utilitarian functions of Chinese language,leading to the culture suspicion.Confucianism is accepted in most communities in Singapore.To rectify the situation,the Government should start from Confucianism,get rid of the "economic pressure",focus on the profoundness of Chinese culture and the elegance of Chinese language to find the new balance for the ecology of Chinese language and reposition Chinese education policy so that the combination of Confucianism and Chinese can be achieved and a better Chinese language education with Singapore characteristics can be presented.
